- All advancements require the recommendation of the Commanding Officer
- Cadet must attain a score of 3.2 or higher on correspondence courses.
- Cadet must attain a score of 2.5 or higher on exams.
- Cadets must complete 10 days of advanced training with at least 5 of those consecutive.
- Recruiting duty may only be used once for a cadet as TWT
- POLA may be completed any time between E - 3 and CPO
