HAIR:
Neat, clean, trimmed, and present a well-groomed appearance. Must not touch the collar.

No longer than 4 inches and the bulk shall not exceed 2 inches. Plaited or braided hair is not authorized. Hair may not show under the front brim of any uniform cap.

SIDEBURNS:
Neatly trimmed and tailored. Shall not extend below a point level with the middle of the ear. Shall be of even width (not flared). Shall end with a clean shaven horizontal line.

NO BEARDS OR MUSTACHES

FINGERNAILS:
Will not extend past the fingertips.

WRISTWATCH:
One is authorized.

EARRINGS/STUDS:
Not authorized in the ear, nose, eyebrows, tongue, lips, or other areas of the face or body visible to any member of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Officer Corps.

RINGS:
One per hand is authorized.

HAIR ORNAMENTS:
Barrettes, must be similar to hair color. Conspicuous rubber bands, combs, and pins are not authorized.

EARRINGS/STUDS:
One per ear, centered on the earlobe. Must be a small silver ball. Studs are not authorized in the nose, eyebrows, tongue, lips, or other areas of the face or body visible to any member of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Officer Corps.

NECKLACES:
Authorized, but shall not be visible.

RINGS:
One per hand is authorized.

WRISTWATCH:
One is authorized.

COSMETICS:
Applied in good taste and colors blend with natural skin tone. Exaggerated or faddish cosmetics are inappropriate. Lipstick should be conservative.

FINGERNAILS:
Shall not be excessive in length. Nail polish color shall complement the skin tone.

SOCKS: Cadets wear black socks with all uniforms. Socks must not have holes in them, show lint, nor sag at the ankles.

T-SHIRTS: Wear only white underclothing with NLCC & NSCC uniforms. Do not wear T-shirts which are printed or have colored neck and sleeve bands, but only white, well-fitted round necked T-shirts, free of stains or holes.
